With more than 283 million people, Indonesia is the world's fourth most populous country and the country with the largest Muslim population. This archipelago state of more than seventeen thousand islands has a GDP approaching $1.4 trillion, making it by far the largest economy in Southeast Asia and a member of the G20.

Rich mineral resources, nickel above all, have made the country one of the key players in the electric vehicle battery supply chain. The government is carrying out a move of the capital to Nusantara on the island of Borneo in order to ease the burden on overcrowded Jakarta.
